The Library I visited was: Norwalk Library 12350 Imperial Hwy, Norwalk, CA 90650
562.868.0775 www.colapublib.org is the county Library website.
Not only is there books available for check out...there is audio tapes and videos you can check out as well!! Three services that are available at the library are:
Homework Center, where trained staff members help students with homework assignments and guide them to the large collection of books and encyclopedias.
Literacy Program, which is a one-on-one basic literacy instruction for people 16 and older. The purpose on this is to assist individuals with reading and writing improvement.
The classification system this library uses is DEWEY. It is a County Public Library.
The reference section is very easy to use. The have consumer information, up to date newspapers, cliff notes, and many other refrences availble at hand. Their online resources that are offered range from Los Angeles Times to Thomson Gate legal forms. The two most poplar ones would be the newspapers because not everyone has them delivered to their door or will pay .25 cents for it. Also, The kids Social Studies Fact Cards. Its very useful when kids need to reserch this subject. I really like thie library because its nearby, clean, and the librarians are very helpful. There is not much to dislike.

Blog Reflection 1
I am learning many things that are going to be useful in continuing my college education. I am really learning more about research which I will definitely need when it comes time for those HUGE research papers I will need to write. I really love taking online courses because it is very convenient for a person like me with two children. I really love this course, and I really love that I got to learn and get into the "BLOG WORLD"....I never knew that there were "e-books"...so that was, for me, my "A-Ha" moment.... :)

My First Blog
This is my first blog ever. My experience creating this blog site was really fun and easy. My favorite part was creating my layout and picking my own colors for my page. I don't have any other existing blogs, but it's something I may look into. I read celebrity blogs here and there, but that's about it.
