The Library I visited was: Norwalk Library 12350 Imperial Hwy, Norwalk, CA 90650
562.868.0775 www.colapublib.org is the county Library website.
Not only is there books available for check out...there is audio tapes and videos you can check out as well!! Three services that are available at the library are:
Homework Center, where trained staff members help students with homework assignments and guide them to the large collection of books and encyclopedias.
Literacy Program, which is a one-on-one basic literacy instruction for people 16 and older. The purpose on this is to assist individuals with reading and writing improvement.
The classification system this library uses is DEWEY. It is a County Public Library.
The reference section is very easy to use. The have consumer information, up to date newspapers, cliff notes, and many other refrences availble at hand. Their online resources that are offered range from Los Angeles Times to Thomson Gate legal forms. The two most poplar ones would be the newspapers because not everyone has them delivered to their door or will pay .25 cents for it. Also, The kids Social Studies Fact Cards. Its very useful when kids need to reserch this subject. I really like thie library because its nearby, clean, and the librarians are very helpful. There is not much to dislike.
